These two kept me on my toes the whole time, I think I need to get in shape so I can chase after all these kids. When the session was over we had to trick the youngest and catch him so they could leave. He was wanting to stay with me. I told him I had lots and lots of baby dolls he could play with if he stayed with me….he didn’t think that was such a good idea.

I’ve had quite a few emails come in about booking high school senior sessions. Over the Christmas holiday, I had no email for about 3 days, something happened with centurytel’s servers. I have not received any of those emails still, so if you sent me an email inquiring about a session and I never replied, it’s because I did not receive it. Either resend or give me a call. It’s booking up quite fast. Also if I emailed you dates available and you have replied as to which date you would like to book and you have not received a confirmation email from me saying I have it down, then please give me a call. I will always send an email letting you know that I have it confirmed.

This adorable little man is my nephew. We are raffling a 47″ flat screen tv to help raise money for Landen and his mom and dad to go to California in February for his first surgery. Landen was born with microtia/artresia  which means that he is missing his right ear and ear canal. He will have surgery on February 11th to create an ear canal so he will have hearing now in his right ear. He can only hear in his left ear for now. He will make multiple trips to California over the years for different surgeries he needs. They will be there for over a week for this first surgery and then he will have to go back in May to start the outer ear reconstruction surgeries. The raffle is to help with the medical and travel expenses they will be facing. If any of you are interested in purchasing a ticket just reply here or email me at ktyler@centurytel.net or give me a call 337-738-3079. Our family appreciates this so much! The drawing will be done on February 15th.

~Strong~describes this family so much. They truly are an inspiration to me, they have been given a lot to deal with and handle it all so well. I need to take lessons. I squeezed them in right before we left to go on vacation. Jeramy has battled Crohn’s for many years of his life, the same disease that I got so sick with in May that took me out of business for a good two months, and just found out he now has liver cancer. His story just hit way too close to home. He was leaving almost immediately to go to Texas to start treatment and we were leaving to go on vacation out of state. And the weather had been just horrible that week. We found one morning that the sun was shining and it was beautiful, but very wet. We got his session taken care of and he left and took off to Texas to get prepared to start chemotherapy treatments. I just spoke with his mom and he is doing really really well. He is handling the treatments and not getting sick, that makes me so happy to hear!

Here are a few of Jeramy’s senior portraits!

Ok the holidays are past us, I’ve got a little break before the madness of high school seniors start!! Here’s a few of the sessions that I didn’t have time to blog before Christmas and my trip to the mountains to go skiing.

I just had to share these two adorable little babies I had the opportunity to meet. I’m still not caught up, but I wanted to give them a sneak peek at what’s to come. The have been so patient and not called or emailed asking “where are my images” even though it’s taking longer than it should. Those of you that I have posted a few of your family images for you to choose for your cards, once I start on your session, I’ll blog some of the kids pictures. So keep an eye out, praying I’m caught up by the end of the week!! Ok now back to editing…

I’m doing my best to stay caught up. I have a lot more sessions to get finished up before December 1st. Hopefully everyone waiting won’t have to wait too much longer. I’m working as fast as I can! Here’s a beautiful family from the other day. Mr. Sneaky thought he was hiding from me!

The relationship between these two boys is just great. I love watching the younger one look up to his big brother. This was out on their property, just a beautiful place.

Fun times

I know all of my posts are about having fun, but that’s all I get to do! I’m so blessed to get to do what I love each and every day. I get to photograph these two sisters every year. I love big toothless grins, I’ve had so many little girls with no front teeth lately. It makes me sad, when Madisen, my oldest, lost her two front teeth I took one of my most favorite pictures of her with her tongue sticking out through the space, so I had always intended to recreate that with Lindsey. It never happened, she didn’t loose hers at the same time 🙁 Oh well, I’ve enjoyed photographing all these others with their snaggle teeth. I laughed so hard during this session, the little one kept her finger in her mouth and I constantly asked her to put it down, well one time I said why do you keep biting your finger. Her response “I have a hangnail”! She just turned two, what two year old knows what a hangnail is??? I laughed and laughed at that.

Christmas deadline reminder~December 1~All orders need to be in by this date to ensure you receive them in time for Christmas. I will be going out of town so I want to get you all taken care of first.

And just a warning for any future clients coming for a session at my house. Just ignore the massive mess we have going on. We are doing some construction on our home and it kind of looks like a war zone around here. But don’t worry where all of the sessions take place is away from where my house sits, it’s nice and pretty over there!

Ok enough rambling, here’s these two sweet girls….

I love watching my clients families grow from year to year. I’ve seen so much change in these two. Miss priss went from being so shy she would barely speak to me, the first time they came to me years ago, to posing it up big time the whole time she was here. And I got an education on all of the coolest toys for little boys from her brother.
