The rain stayed away and we were able to get these family photos taken. It was pretty wet here at my house so we went and used the old church. I love that place…such a pretty location.

I was able to spend some time with Lily and Evan the other day. I’ve photographed them for a few years now. We lucked out that we were able to reschedule them due to rain, but we were able to get the session in before they went back home.

Kane ~ Children’s photographyAugust 7th, 2012I met Kane and his mom for the first time last week, she had three requests, him with his bible, with his tractor (that he drives himself), and him in the rice fields. I met Kane and his mom for the first time last week, she had three requests, him with his bible, with his tractor (that he drives himself), and him in the rice fields. I think we got that and then some. He did awesome, even though his mom said it took a little “bribe” to get him to agree to photos. In getting ready for his session I was thinking about what I wanted to do, I had on flip flops and changed them into my nikes since we would be walking through the rice field, I thought there could be snakes in there. Well as we were walking out to where I wanted to go, Kane yells “snake”, me and his mom both jumped and did a double take as he was laughing at us the whole time!

These little girls live in Seattle and were here visiting family and booked a session with me. Well we have had lots and lots of rain this summer and of course the day of their session a huge storm looked like it was about to move in. We moved their session up earlier in the day to try to beat it, you can see the sprinkles in some of the photos.
Sorry for the wait guys, shouldn’t be much longer now and I’ll have them all finished up!

Miss Layla ~ Kinder, La newborn photographyJuly 17th, 2012So excited that I finally had a baby girl to photograph with all of my pretty new fabric. I’ve had this for months and had only little boys to photograph. I photographed Layla’s big brother a few months ago. I look forward to watching her grow and meeting the rest of the family. |

Miss Alice ~ Kinder, LA children’s photographyJune 27th, 2012Whew it’s been so long since I have taken the time to blog anything, I almost didn’t remember my sign in information. Whew it’s been so long since I have taken the time to blog anything, I almost didn’t remember my sign in information. I figured I better post or some may think I’m no longer in business! I am still here, doing only a session or two here or there during the summer. We are spending most of our time this summer on the softball field and in the pool when we can. Both of my girls are playing and loving it. I will return to a regular schedule once they start school in the fall.
Miss Alice and her parents came to see me after many reschedules due to the weather. But we finally had a pretty day that wasn’t too crazy hot. I love watching these sweet babies grow up.

The Jones Family ~ Family PhotographyApril 23rd, 2012Loved spending time with this bunch Liam, Jack, Matilda, Matthew, & Max. Oh and Elaine and Jason! Loved spending time with this bunch Liam, Jack, Matilda, Matthew, & Max. Oh and Elaine and Jason! They drove all the way from Houston to come for photos and went back the same day. We “explored” all around and I listened to stories about the legend of zelda and heard about what their favorite books are. And we discovered that the lilly pads in our pond do not hold 7 year old little boys! Thank goodness I didn’t see this happen, I would have flipped out. I take turns taking each kid off to do their individuals, so after Liam’s (the 7 year old) individuals I brought him back to meet his mom and dad and took Jack with me. Well why doing Jack’s photos, Liam decides to test out the lilly pads himself because he couldn’t find a stick. Thank goodness the pond is shallow, his mom said “oh it’s okay if it wasn’t he knows how to swim”. She was happy he had already done his individual photos so he was done. I was warned that we may not get many group photos because Matthew would not want to sit still. She said he will probably try to go give you  hugs instead, and that’s exactly what he did!
This was them in the fall of 2010, I was happy I got to meet the new addition! Can’t wait to see the next year and a half 😉

I don’t even know where to begin with this session. We had so many laughs. I’ve known Hannah forever it seems, they have gone to church with us since Hannah was a baby, she worked with me her senior year, I did her senior photographs, now I get to do her engagements and bridals. We battled lots and lots of mosquitos, I think I took most of them out the photos, but there may be a stray lingering around. I love the personality in these photos, they can try hard but they can not be serious, and I loved capturing it all. Although a few were out of focus because I was laughing at them doing their best to be serious….it just wasn’t happening!
And I’m on a mission to find some “waves”, as Hannah called it, like on the old building down below that was at Hannah’s grandparents house. I’m about to make myself a wall, I loved how it photographed.

Bently & Bradley ~ Newborn PhotographyFebruary 24th, 2012I loved working with these two beautiful little boys. They were by far the tiniest newborns I have ever photographed. They didn’t like when I tried to take the blankets off, so I just kept them swaddled in all of their photos. Major photo overload below! |
